Buddy Roybal with Santa Fe High School graduate Jade Comellas and Roy Martinez, Director of Rising Stars of the Southwest. Jade received a Rising Star scholarship from Irene and Buddy Roybal and is on her way to UNM this fall. Congratulations Jade.

Santa Fe Certificates Awarded

 
With Javier Gonzales, Mayor of Santa Fe, NM, Buddy Roybal spoke about the generosity of our community and the city’s grateful appreciation for the commitment and pride of Santa Feans in “Keeping the Santa Fe Plaza Beautiful” painting and clean up event on May 7, 2016. Muchisimas gracias! Certificates from the City of Santa Fe and Mayor Javier M. Gonzales were awarded to Gateway Marketing, JNS Services, Santa Fe Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Rising Stars of the Southwest, DECA, C.G. Higgins, and Vietnam Veterans of America Northern New Mexico Chapter 996 at the Santa Fe Hispanic Chamber of Commerce after-hours event held at Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association on June 15, 2016.

Mission of Mercy Free Dental Clinic

 
A warm thank you and a loud shout out to those 1,200 volunteers who gave back to our Santa Fe community with love and passion on April 8th and 9th, 2016, to the 1,218 people who received free dental care at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center.151 dentists along with 129 hygienist performed 9,459 procedures valued at close to $1.2 million. Chris Morgan, DMD, http://chrismorgandmd.com, co-chair of the Mission of Mercy Free Dental Clinic, along with his wife Christy, were presented the Paul Harris award at the Rotary Club at Santa Fe for their outstanding service to our community by Rotarians Irene and Buddy Roybal. Buddy Roybal, also a co-chair of the Mission of Mercy Free Dental Clinic, along with Pat Murrey - a team point leader - were instrumental in creating success in getting the volunteers who helped to make this service to our community possible.
 
 
 
 
 

3rd Annual "Make the Santa Fe Plaza Beautiful"

 
Buddy and Irene Roybal coordinated the 3rd Annual "Make the Santa Fe Plaza Beautiful" on May 7th, 2016 - another huge success due to community support. Joining Coronado Paint & Decorating as sponsors were the City of Santa FE, Santa Fe Beautiful, Santa Fe Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce.

Volunteers, individually and team groups, showed up at the plaza at 7:00 AM to clean and paint park benches, light poles, portal beams, and bridges. To mention a few of the volunteers - Joe Arellano and his crew from JNS Services, Capital High DECA students, Rising Stars of the Southwest Students, members of Vietnam Veterans of America - Northern New Mexico Chapter 996, Mayor Javier Gonzalez and members of our city council with friends and family, Gateway Marketing, members of Sangre de Cristo Bible Church, and Santa Fe Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Board and its membership, as well as many individuals wanting to make a difference. Chuck Higgins (Higgins Chocolate) provided coffee, Hotel Santa Fe provided the breakfast food, Benjamin Moore and Coronado donated the paint, and paint sundries were donated by Coronado Paint and Decorating.
